This is the first year of the F350 with the 4wd option as well as it being a supercab making it one of only approximately 1700 built that year.
Will be sold as is. On the driver's side extension someone repaired it and didn't do a good job so the paint is beginning to crack out. The transfer case engages smooth and the locking Warn Hubs operate as they should. This F350 is from Oregon, and is solid, but not totally rustfree. If you are the winning bidder, I need 1000. Has headers with newer exhaust, the truck sounds very nice and throaty.
As you can see on the report, the truck is 1 of 2 with the codes. The hood has a couple spots on the top where the paint peeled up. I upgraded the rear axle from a Dana 60 to a Sterling 10. Keyless entry Interior:New carpetDynamat and sound dampening Front bench seat Rear bench seat This truck has had a fortune spent on it. I took a nice F150 super cab 2wd, a regular cab F350 4x4 and put them together. Has the correct front dana 60 front axle with 3.
New wheels and tires with around 1500 miles on them. SuperCab's are hard enough to find, but with the F350 1 ton suspension it is virtually impossible to find. The axels and transmission are 1996 F350. Front gas tank is all hooked up, but the switch at the rear of the frame that switches between the tanks is not working, so I have only one tank functioning. The rear seat, carpet, and headliner are all in excellent condition. Very nice shape, not pealing or problems. So like I said, this is a solid and decent all around truck for its age.
No warranty and no guarantee. Has headers and new dual exhaust to a single muffler. The carpet and headliner are both in really good condition. You could fly in and drive this truck anywhere. It looks like rock chips that were sprayed over with a rattle can and have started to bubble.
Only one small area on the drivers door that is showing some rust. Cleaned the body, inside and out. I have new mirrors with frames and hardware. The bed is in really good shape for a 79' 1 ton, hardly a dent in the floor. The engine is a 1993 efi 460 with approx 34000 miles on it currently has an exhaust leak on the drivers manifold , C6 trans was gone through not rebuilt but replaced worn parts about 2000 miles ago. I would call it 98%. The body and frame are 1979 F350 Ranger.
The brakes, and the exhaust are nice. I few things I did not get to: roll up windows need new rubber channels, transfer case rattles on deceleration, some of the bed mounts are not completed I have 4 done, not going anywhere. Do you do restoration for other people? Sound deadener fat mat has been installed inside the cab floor and roof. The cab is in good shape, the corners are solid, it has a place on the driver's side extension from a bad repair job, other than that, good shape for a 39 year old truck as far as I can tell. Bed has surface rust, and not all dented or beat up.
This vehicle is located at our Grand Rapids facility. This truck is reliable enough to be a daily driver. I can help with shipping once payment has been received in full. It has a smooth strong 400. This truck is priced to sell and still has many, many miles of work or play left in it. Sometime its reads the front tank a little funny but never had any issues with it not switching from tank to tank.
I have new upper side chrome from Dennis carpenter the b pillar chrome is used, and the rear door chrome is not available but I ordered front door chrome and have been shown a method for cutting it down to fit the rear doors. Cashier check, wired funds or cash in person only. As mentioned earlier, the body is in pretty good shape, common wheel well bubbles on the bed, though the inner wheel wells are rust free. The reason I say that is the inner wheel wells have no rust, but the paint is bubbled on the outside. Frame is in great shape with some minor pitting.
