The truck is being sold as is where is no warrantys or guarantees. It has some rust on the bumper and wheel arches, but that was to be expected with a 18 year old machine. U-Haul and a Number of other rental locations rent a Wheel hopper dolly. I had another individual tell me that I should do all the things that you mentioned in your comment. Just don't expect amazing speed. The automatic transmission is rather slow getting to 60 mph for highway driving, but that is also to be expected for a 4 cylinder engine that makes 108 hp.
I suggest you change it. It's a truck, and it was a designed at a time where trucks were built to be much more utilitarian than they are today. The engine coolant temp sensor has two wires. Once you have released the bleed screw on the caliper, then you can bleed the brakes as per normal. Auto, use the gear selecter and put it back to 3 instead of D and when the car has enough speed, then into D.
Don't forget that braking distances almost double when you have a trailer on. You can rectify this from using a pressure bleeder, or you have to remove the master cylinder and using air to force the piston back out. You could damage the transmission. When the temp goes up on gauge make sure it kicks in. There's a relly good chance that may be all you need to do,but you may need to pull the calipers and clean them also.
That said, my truck has proven reliable and sturdy wherever I've gone, in the city and off road. The truck runs and drives very good. I wanted basic with some 4x4 capability. I would also have the brake booster tested for a vacuum leak. I've had it since '98 and I love it.
The engine was recently replaced, and if the 22re lives up to its reputation the old pickup with last until the frame rusts away. I would recomend this truck to anyone in the market. Also it is not recommended that you tow a Front wheel drive vehicle with the wheels on the ground. For my 3500 investment I feel like I got a good value for the money and I will continue to buy Toyota pickups in the future. Auto and manual are driven differently. That would be the easiest and safest way to prevent damage to the transmission and drivetrain and would also make the vehicle a bit easier to control. However you try to tow it, is your responsibility.
I will be using this dolly for a 4-5 hour trip. It just wont give up! And 4x4 great fun in snow!!!! Normal change revs,3000 rpm,go to 3500rpm with the trailer on. But, he also added that i would have to remove the drive shaft as well. Anyways it started right up and like it was new. I have never owned another vehicle that's lasted longer then payment book, my Toyota was paid off 1998 still running great today. Without it, the computer is guessing at the fuel mix and it seems to be wandering around.
The truck was a one family owned truck until I bought it. . It's a willing work truck. Nov 16, 2010 Well I don't think you'll need to buy parts,it sounds like there may be sludge built up between the master cylinder and the proportional valve to the front brakes. Josh, thanks for your reply it was very helpful. If you need further help, reach me via phone at Sep 25, 2014 Ok, a couple of things, if it is all wheel drive, automatic or manual, do not tow it like this. I've only ever had to replace the starter and the timing chain.
Fill out your contact information and your Frame request will get distributed instantly to a nationwide network of auto recyclers, salvage yards, wrecking yards, junkyards and parts brokers across the country. Car details This is an original 4 x 4 truck looks and runs good. I will be using this dolly for a 4-5 hour trip. As long as you prepare for the impending doom of rust in later models, nothing will come between your Toyota and piling up mileage. Shortly after, you will receive price quotes directly from the sellers that stock the Frame. Note: this sensor is different from the one that sends information to your coolant gauge. Start it up and let it idle.
