Other manufactures may use cheaper 409 stainless steel which will rust and corrode over time, but the added expense of 304 stainless steel is well worth it for the beautiful, long lasting high brushed finish and durability. Japan domestic market only unfortunately. Oh yeah, and one addition that even surprised us was the carbon-fiber roof, which not only improves upper body rigidity while reducing weight, but helps to improve the overall ride quality. And final made my decision and couldnt be happier. The outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in every aspect of this gorgeous cat-back. Slip fit connections provide both rotational and longitudinal adjustment to allow for fine tuning of final fitment and tip placement.
If I could get all of my money back I would in a heartbeat but their return policy, even with a new unused product is scandalous. Flat flange connections provide a great seal and are ideal in sections that do not need adjustment for installation. The engine, chassis, steering, and brakes are so communicative and responsive, they almost feel like an extension of your body. Can't argue with that theory either. The sound isn't anything special and compared to any other brand, the Cobb catback is a waste of money. Powering the S206 is a version of Subie's turbocharged 2.
According to Tatsumi, there are two reasons. Sticks out just enough, and hangs perfect with the stock hangers. There is no drone at 60-80 mph while in 6th gear driving on the highway. When driving aggressively, the system transitions into an aggressive tone that every sporty car needs. Lets just say that I have been going back and forth between the cobb and the Q300 for about a year now. We can't argue with that because the ride quality is exceptional -- firm but compliant - for a hard-core sports model like this with low profile 19-inch tires.
Your insides just about reach their lateral limits before the tires reach theirs. Not loud and overbearing, great for a daily driven car. The pipes are extremely thin, the mufflers are very, very heavy and restrictive!. I was expecting top quality but in fact was misled by Cobb, I'm completely disappointed with what they claim is quality and will never recommend, install or buy another Cobb exhaust system product ever again. The cobb is more of a throaty sound, which is great. There's more than a decade of history in the top-shelf S series, starting from the radical-looking S201 to the gutsy S204, and the extreme R205.
There's almost no understeer and the rears won't let go either. Build quality was excellent and no fitment problems at all, which makes this ideal for a one person install. So there's a little more still to do under there. This product has me avoiding anything made by Cobb. This mandrel bent exhaust uses twin straight-through mufflers terminating in beautifully laser-etched 3. Rated 5 out of 5 by Sweet Mom from Perect purrr! We want to win our class again in 2012 in the 24-hour race and slice several more seconds off our lap time.
We've driven them all and been suitably impressed with every car. The car goes exactly where you want it to, when you want it to. Zeroing in on a tight right-hander in fourth at 100 mph, we obliterate 50 mph in 1 second flat by jumping on the 6-pot Brembos, pop the notchy six-speed gearbox down to second and turn in. If you want to eat the best, most authentic sushi, you have to come to Japan anyway, right? Buy a custom exhaust or pretty much any other brand instead, even an Ebay exhaust is better then a Cobb exhaust. As I honed in on a tight corner at over 110 mph, crunched on the Brembos, changed down and got back on the gas as my brain tried to dislodge itself from my skull and fly toward the scrub, I have never felt more like seven-time World Rally champ Sebastian Loeb. I have this paired with a invidia catted downpipe, just sounds awsome! This car simply begs you to push it harder each lap.
The engine is hand-built, with pistons, connecting rods, and crankshaft all meticulously balanced before assembly. Sound It is very important for our exhaust systems to make power, but sound levels and tone are also very important. Rated 5 out of 5 by rex13 from awsome quality! Very easy to install hardest part was getting my old, rusty one off! After a quick rundown of the impressive spec list, he shuffles us over to an S206 sitting in the pit area. Rated 1 out of 5 by Nope from Wish I never bought it! Absolutely love the nice Subie rumble I have now! It can't just come from the specially fitted Bilstein inverted dampers, coil springs and tower bar. The bolts and gaskets are garbage from China and the flanges are easily the worst I've ever seen. And that kind of pricing would put it in territory, making it hard to justify. As we launch ourselves out of the blocks, the S206 feels at once poised and ready for any right boot extension.
Horsepower has been bumped from 305 hp to 316 hp while torque increases from 290 lb-ft to 318 lb-ft. V-Band connections provide a high pressure seal that allows for rotational adjustment. . . . .
