No need to sack anyone for trying. I did not think twice. I cannot understand the logic in removing this useful tool. I was concerned this would not happen because a similar user outcry on the Adobe video side when Encore was not updated for Creative Cloud or to work with new Windows operating systems was not heeded. Immediately issue a new release that restores the Import dialogue exactly as it was before this unmitigated disaster.
