General Discussion Hi Folks, This is driving me mad. Does anybody now a fix? It says so right there next to it. I have tried multiple folders on my desktop, and in my documents folder, if I uncheck the read only box and hit apply, then close and reopen the properties window, the box is checked again. I got this new computer one month ago with windows 8. If you still cannot copy it to the flash drive then reformat the flash drive.
As i have local admin details as well tried with those also but did not worked. Please guide me, how I can remove read-only attribute in Windows 10. When complete switch to the General tab, click in the Read-only check box to clear it, then click Apply. I installed this update this morning and am now fighting to rotate photos. It's only on when I try to save a notebook within the Dropbox folder structure that I get the error. If you don't want to die as the result of a traffic accident, don't drive and don't go anywhere near roads either.
Hi Guys Just upgrading to Win 10 and noticed this morning that I am unable to change the settings from Read Only to allow all saved work. So remove read only in excel file. It took care of the problem. Changing attributes did not work. If so please give it a Like below.
So of course people are going to wonder what the hell is going on. This is not set as read-only. The read-only attribute in Folder Properties does not apply to folders. Now in this article, I will list several possible cases that make your workbook and worksheet read only and introduce how we can do to remove read only status from Excel file. You can see them one at a time in Windows Explorer, or use the attrib command on the command line. Here I can't use the email login.

Repair iTunes Security Permissions Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced.
Can you change the setting on the flash drive? I'm going to guess it was setup from another installation of Windows, those permissions are setup for that installation. The only exception to this appears to be when an attempt is made to delete the folder using the 'rd' command from the command line. It applies to all of them, its just how win 10 works. From then on, the copied Excel file would be not read-only and could be used instead of original one. I am looking for a simple preferance solution, or work-around, there should be one. If you don't have the option to change the permissions then use the Owner tab and Edit.
Can you change the setting on the flash drive? Why couldn't they write a script or at least post an official response to help us? I found an issue with Windows 8 that all my files are read only in Program Files.
Changing attributes did not work. The problem is actually very simple to fix once we understand it. Because files are read only I can't make changes to files. Did this post not resolve your issue? I just talked to apple care supervisor and she said apple made it so that you can't edit songs unless music came from them or is in their native format.
