I've lost count of the number of times I've read this book. It makes the story very weak. Intelligent, independent Brittany isn't about to be subservient to any male—not even one who's everything she ever wanted in a lover. As bold and brash as she is beautiful, Brittany isn't going to be subservient to any man, even one who is everything she ever wanted in a lover, and whose very touch sets her senses afire. He claims to be a barbarian warrior in need of her help. I am incredulous that such a ridiculous story was able to be published - I could almost feel myself losing brain cells as the book progressed, it was so bad.
The truth is a very rude awakening—for Dalden is exactly what he claims to be: a warrior to the depths of his soul from a place where the women always obey. I personally don't think Ms Lindsey knows how to write a bad story!. But when the spectacular blond Viking—whose name is Dalden—turns up at her doorstep, Brittany knows her dream man is very real. Are you thick or something? Warriors need to be grounded in faith and also equipped to serve as the hands and feet of Christ. Heart of a Warrior is intended to open eyes. This is a fantastic read, and even if you don't have all three of the books that encompass the Ly-San-Ter family, you'll love each of the characters as you meet them. Unfortunately, I was not experienced enough, and I did not have all the necessary things needed.
