They begin their journey at Easdale, gateway to the Isle of Mull, looking for scallops. This special one-off sees Gordon and Gino going head to head to lay on a spectacular festive banquet for deserving members of the public and emergency services who have risked their lives in horrendous circumstances this year such as terror attacks and the tragedy of Grenfell Tower. Once at the boat they meet Guy Grieve, an expert in the art of hand diving for scallops. Do people like turkey during the year? With a captive audience in the campervan, Fred picks this moment to reveal his hidden musical talents - but it's certainly not music to Gordon's ears. As the mountain road narrows, there is only one way to travel and they leave the campervan behind, taking to horseback for the remainder of the journey. Enthusiastic sailor Gordon takes charge but the bickering soon ensues. Luckily though, he manages to use his persuasive Italian charm to get a coolbox full of ready prepared oysters, so they can get on their way. Fully dressed, the trio discuss their recipe ideas over Martinis as they sample the Saint Tropez bar scene, but competitive Gordon refuses to disclose his. Next, Gordon takes Gino and Fred fly fishing to catch some salmon.
Gino is alarmed as Gordon drives their car straight down the river before they all get out, don waders and get knee deep in the water with their rods. Gordon, Gino and Fred are also embarking on a road trip together which will be aired during the show. He was forced to keep his oysters in a cooler for three days, and Gordon inadvertently unplugged the cooler which caused the seafood to die. The short answer is that both chefs absolutely hate it.
