You may be right, but I have had multiple browsers on my Mac devices for years and only recently have I had this problem with the Mac Air. It should now be connected. The annoying thing is that the wifi indicator in the top bar says I'm connected to the Starbucks network--but I'm not. Which is odd since usually when connected, they allow at least their home page to be accessed. I suppose systems and software are becoming so complex that nobody can foresee all the possible interactions that might come together to cause a glitch. My brother owns a hotspot too, and my computer is able to connect to it just fine.
